The centre for Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship (CIIE),an Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), University of Kashmir in collaboration with the National Innovation Foundation regional cell JK organized a one-day outreach program on "Innovation and Entrepreneurship" at Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School Bomai Sopore. The event, brought together enthusiastic students, faculty members, for an engaging day of learning, creativity, and inspiration. The outreach program was aimed to foster an entrepreneurial mind-set among the students and introduce them to the world of innovation. Through a series of interactive sessions, w and discussions, the students were exposed to the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, idea generation, and the importance of innovation in today’s dynamic world. Senior Project Associate, National Innovation Foundation (NIF)-JK Cell, Sameer Fayaz, spoke about the INSPIRE (Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research)-MANAK (Million Minds Augmenting National Aspiration and Knowledge) programmes and other flagship initiatives. “We have opportunities available for young innovators and the support being provided by various programmes to nurture their talents,” he added. Technical Assistant Centre for Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship (CIIE), Junaid Ayub spoke about design thinking, problem solving and opportunities for aspiring student Innovators offered by CIIE. He said CIIE shall assist the school in establishment of School Innovation Council (SIC) an Initiative by Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell and AICTE to work in collaboration for handholding of student Innovators. The event was met with overwhelming enthusiasm from both students and faculty, with many expressing a newfound interest in entrepreneurship. Prof. M. Tariq Banday the Chairman of CIIE and NIF Cell JK, stated, "We are delighted to see the positive impact of the program has had on the students. Innovation and entrepreneurship are critical skills for the future, and we at University of Kashmir are committed to providing young minds with the tools and opportunities to succeed. Mr. Sajad Ahmad lecturer GBHSS Bomai delivered the welcome address and Mr. Nazir Ahmad (Scouting Assistant NIF Cell JK ) moderated the proceeding of the event. The program concluded with a networking session, allowing students to share their Ideas, connect with Incubation facility at University of Kashmir explore potential career paths in innovation and entrepreneurship
